RRAC Mission: "To promote the practice of and interest in the creative arts and to afford a means of education, encouragement, and opportunity for cooperation in art creation among persons interested in such endeavors."
In 1946, a group of amateur Wisconsin artists formed the Rural Rembrandt Art Club to share art experiences with each other and with their community. For more than seventy years the Wisconsin art club has been providing an opportunity to enjoy art in all its various forms to the local community and has encouraged many aspiring artists by providing a forum for them to display and discuss their work and learn from other artists. They continue today with a very active art community and maintain an online gallery of their memberships art here: http://www.ruralrembrandts.com/
Rural Rembrandts' History with WRAP and WRAA
Word spread and the circle of artists grew, and grew, until they formed a club called the Rural Rembrandts Art Club. Soon they reached out to Professor James Schwaulbach (of WPR 'Let's Draw' radio show fame), and the Wisconsin Regional Art Program, which was engaged in early outreach efforts. This was the beginning of a long relationship and fruitful between the RRAC and WRAP. A few years later the Wisconsin Regional Artist Association (WRAA) was formed to be a non-profit partner with WRAP and Ray Spaulding became its first President. The partnership has continued for since that time.

You can see the Rural Rembrandts co-sponsored WRAP Exhibit on display June 6th at the Waushara-Wautoma Senior Citizen Center in Wautoma too.
