Artists!  Send in your entry forms for  the annual Wisconsin Regional Art Program (WRAP) exhibit.  There is a twenty dollar fee to participate.  The exhibition will be hung July 27st and end with a workshop on Saturday, August 22nd.  For the last three years, the Janesville Art League has sponsored one of the largest WRAP exhibits in Wisconsin.  Artists from across the State, as well as artists from out of state, compete in this annual art program.   State Award recipients will be invited to participate in the August/September 2016 State Art Exhibition in Madison

This year the Juror and presenting artist at the closing workshop will be Ingrid Dohm.  Ingrid Dohm is an award-winning artist based in Rockford, Illinois. She is well known for her signature floral still lifes.  Ingrid's body of work spans an impressive array of subjects: landscapes, street scenes, and portraits, to name a few. The tie that binds her diverse body of work together is the consistent search for beauty, and the lush and vibrant use of color, coupled with controlled technique that result in the unique elegance of her original artwork.

The State WRAP  was started in 1940.  The program administered by the UW-Madison Division of Continuing Studies celebrates its 75th Anniversary in 2015.  The Janesville WRAP is one of a coordinated statewide program with over 24 WRAP exhibits/workshops. The purpose of WRAP is to recognize and encourage non-professional artists (meaning artists who do not make most of their income from there art) to develop their artistic abilities. Meritorious works chosen from the regional shows are then eligible to exhibit and compete in the State Annual Conference, in September each year.

Send in your entry to be a part of the Janesville WRAP!
