For the last two years, the Janesville Art League has sponsored one of the largest WRAP exhibits in Wisconsin. Artists from across the State, as well as artists from out of state, compete in this annual art program. Started in 1940, WRAP is a program developed and administered by the UW-Madison Division of Continuing Studies as part of a coordinated statewide program with over 20 WRAP exhibits/workshops. The purpose of WRAP is to recognize and encourage non-professional artists (meaning artists who do not make most of their income from there art) to develop their artistic abilities. Meritorious works chosen from the regional shows are then eligible to exhibit and compete in the State Annual Conference, in September each year.
