Wisconsin artists, part of being an artist is sharing your creations with an audience. Plan to show your art through a Wisconsin Regional Art Program exhibition this year!
Local WRAP coordinators invite all non-professional artist from Wisconsin to submit artworks for the exhibitions. (For our purposes 'non-professional' is defined as someone who does not make their primary income from their art.)
You choose which artworks to exhibit. You have the opportunity for it to be considered for an honorable mention or a State Award recognition by a professional artist. State award recipients are invited to participate in an annual State WRAP exhibition that takes place in August/September each year, where they may be eligible for cash awards.
The fee to participate in each of the WRAP exhibition/workshops is $30. Artists should send their entry fee with a completed Registration Form, to the coordinators listed below by the listed due dates (see below or go to the WRAP website).
All artists who enter a local WRAP Exhibition, in addition to being considered for an award and having their art on display for the community to appreciate, also have the opportunity to participate in an educational critique by the show judge outline the strengths of the works they have chosen for recognition, followed by an art presentation or demonstration.
Community members not participating in the exhibition may attend the educational workshops for a $5.00 fee.
You are welcome to show in as many WRAPs as you like. If you receive a State Award you will be invited to participate in the State WRAP Exhibition in Madison in 2016. However, if you win award recognition in more than one WRAP you will have to choose one piece to exhibit in the State WRAP Exhibition.
Check out these offerings in March and April!
